Build a collection that works for you.
Inspect income, size, and mutation traits before deciding what belongs in your collection.

Compare fish for the job you want them to do
Hatched fish provide income and collection traits. Those are related goals, but they can lead to different choices. A result with a distinct size or mutation may matter to a collector even when another fish shows higher earnings. Decide which goal you are pursuing before accepting a removal or replacement prompt.

A useful collection entry
| Target | Field | Why it belongs in the record |
|---|---|---|
| Identity | Exact fish name as displayed | Lets you compare the same fish instead of relying on resemblance in artwork. |
| Traits | Size and mutation labels, recorded separately | Keeps a visual difference from being mistaken for a known multiplier. |
| Earnings | Current displayed income and a measured balance interval | Helps compare the whole collection with the values shown beside individual fish. |
| Context | Date, visible conditions, and acquisition result | Makes it possible to revisit the entry after an update or collection change. |
Before changing the collection
- Read what the current confirmation will remove or replace.
- Keep a record of the fish you are considering losing.
- Measure income again if the collection changes.
- Use the variant guide when several traits differ; do not attribute the entire income difference to a single label.
Keep the reason for a collection choice
A new trait can satisfy a collection goal even when it does not improve your purchase budget. Note why you kept that result so a later comparison uses the same goal.
