From egg to collection
Hatching fish eggs is the official route to collecting fish. Your fish then earn money that supports pool and base progression. A successful pickup is the beginning of the cycle; the hatch and its contribution to your collection are the result worth checking.
No complete hatch-time or hatch-odds table is verified in this wiki. Read the current timer and interaction shown by your game.
Complete the hatch
Return with the egg
Follow your known route and use the current base or hatch interaction.
Read the hatch prompt
Confirm the egg is in the intended slot. Check any requirement or timer before starting another collection attempt.
Inspect the result
Record the fish's actual name and any size, mutation, or income information the game displays.
Decide what to keep
Compare the new fish with an existing fish under the same displayed conditions. Collection variety and earning progress are different reasons to keep a result.
Comparing two hatches
Prefer the live income display over an assumed rarity ranking when your goal is money. Check whether two results differ in size or mutation before treating them as equivalent.
If the game asks you to replace or remove a fish, inspect the choice carefully. This guide does not assume selling, trading, or replacing is available under every version.
Record the result
- Fish name exactly as shown.
- Egg used, if identifiable.
- Visible size and mutation labels.
- Displayed earning rate and any active conditions.
Recorded tank and hatch prompts
The September gameplay shows Place fish eggs in your tank! after a successful return. Later frames show eggs in the tank with countdowns, Ready!, and Skip Hatch. This gives three distinct things to inspect: the returned egg, acceptance into the tank, and the hatch's current completion state.
The timer belongs to that egg and recording. The footage does not provide a uniform hatch duration or the current conditions and cost of Skip Hatch. Check the live prompt before using an optional action.
Keep pickup, hatch, and earnings separate
| Target | Confirmation | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Egg collected | The game acknowledges the pickup. | This verifies collection, but does not yet establish a completed hatch or an earning fish. |
| Egg accepted | The base or hatch interface shows the intended egg. | You can now inspect the actual timer or requirement instead of guessing from a previous run. |
| Fish hatched | A fish appears with a readable name and any visible traits. | Record the result rather than assuming the egg's appearance guarantees one species. |
| Income observed | The fish's display or a balance observation supplies an earning value. | Use comparable conditions when deciding whether this hatch improves the collection. |
If hatching seems to stall
Start at the first missing confirmation in the table. An egg that was never accepted is a different problem from an accepted egg with a visible timer. Read the current prompt and requirement; repeatedly starting another collection trip does not resolve a blocked hatch.
If the game reports completion but you cannot identify the new fish, inspect the collection before removing or replacing anything. Note the result's name and traits while the context is fresh. A screenshot of an error should include the relevant prompt and date; avoid sharing account credentials when reporting the issue.
Questions about this step
Does a rare-looking egg guarantee a rare fish?
This wiki has no verified egg-to-fish probability table. Confirm the actual hatch result and any outcome information shown in the game.
Can I compare a new hatch with an older screenshot?
An old image can help identify a label, but current income comparisons need current displays under comparable conditions. Updates, visible boosts, size, or mutation differences can change the comparison.
