Two upgrade systems
Pool and base upgrades are named in the official description. Your fish's money supports those purchases. First ask what a specific upgrade changes in the live game, not whether it sounds more advanced.
No complete upgrade tree or price table is verified here. Check the current description, cost, and requirements before buying.
Read before purchasing
- What the upgrade explicitly changes.
- Its current cost and currency.
- Any requirement or prerequisite.
- Whether it addresses a problem you have encountered.
- How much money remains for the rest of your plan.
If movement is the obstacle
Train first to establish a baseline. If a pool upgrade states that it changes training, compare its cost with current earnings and your next route objective. After buying, test the same setup before making another purchase.
If the base is the obstacle
Inspect the base interface when collection or hatching is blocked. Choose an upgrade only if its stated effect addresses that block. Do not assume every base upgrade increases income or provides protection.
Keep one decision measurable
Write down the purchase and the result you expected. Retest the relevant part of the loop: training, hatching, collection management, or travel. That comparison tells you whether to continue on the same path.
Pool and tank panels are distinct in the footage
The September recording shows an Upgrade sign beside the training pool and, later, Upgrade Tank beside the fish tank. Inspect the panel corresponding to the action you want to change. A training goal and a tank/hatch goal should not be treated as the same purchase just because both are upgrades.
Different levels and appearances are visible, but the footage does not establish the current upgrade tree, maximum level, price sequence, or earning formula. Read the current description and define the behavior you will check after buying.
Compare purchases by the problem they solve
| Target | Evidence needed | Check after buying |
|---|---|---|
| Training purchase | The current upgrade description states a relevant training effect. | Compare displayed training progress under the same setup. |
| Base purchase | A live base prompt explains the requirement or function involved. | Confirm that the specific blocked action is now available. |
| Income purchase | The game explicitly describes the earning effect being purchased. | Measure collection earnings again rather than assuming the effect from the name. |
| Protection purchase | The interface states what is protected and under which conditions. | Read the active status and any limits; do not infer a permanent theft shield. |
A purchase is useful only with a retest
Write down the upgrade's description before confirming it, then check the exact behavior you wanted to change. If the goal was training, compare training progress; if the goal was a blocked base action, check that action. A new visual appearance alone may not answer the practical question.
For a hypothetical budget, a 1,250 purchase with a 250 balance leaves 1,000 to earn. At a measured 20 per second, the simple wait is 50 seconds, assuming constant earnings and no spending. Two upgrades with different prices cannot be ranked by this wait alone: one may solve the current block while the other serves a later goal.
Questions about this step
Is the most expensive upgrade automatically the best?
Price does not explain relevance to your next run. Match the stated effect to a problem you can identify and compare the remaining wait with your other objectives.
What if an upgrade does not seem to help?
Check the stated effect and required conditions first. Retest the affected step separately from travel, hatching, and unrelated collection changes before drawing a conclusion.
